The EMBOS Synthesis Meeting was successfully held at HCMR-Crete, from 21 to 24 April 2015. This was the second data workshop that took place in HCMR, following the one of December 2014.

The Meeting, during which the final EMBOS Pilot Database was presented to the participants of the EMBOS project (ESSEM COST Action ES1003 - Development and implementation of a pan-European Marine Biodiversity Observatory System), focused on testing several hypotheses. The participants had the chance to learn how to navigate to the database environment and how to select the appropriate information for their analysis, among the several datasets that were produced from pilot studies conducted during the spring of 2014 along the European coastline. The results will be presented on the 50th European Marine Biology Symposium (EMBS) at Helgoland, Germany.
