The International Polychaete Day has been celebrated on the 1st of July 2016 as a tribute to Dr Kristian Fauchald (1 Ιουλίου 1935 - 4 Απριλίου 2015) who was a great researcher in the field of Polychaete Taxonomy and worked for many years in the Department of Invertebrate Zoology, Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, USA.
  
The LifewatchGreece team in HCMR  has organised a day full of surprises in the Cretaquarium in order to celebrate this day and to attract the interest of people on these marine animals. Activities such as kids drawing, puzzle solving, polychaete-cake tasting, watching 3D-worms in augmented reality and many more were organised.
